Meacham Birds

Crochet wall hanging depicting boreal bird surveys in the Osgood River where it flows into the south end of Meacham Lake. The boreal peatland and fen habitat at the south end of Meacham is one of the study site locations that are the subject of our long-term monitoring efforts to document boreal bird population trends and the impacts of climate change on these species in the Adirondack Park. Each color of yarn is a year between 2007-2022 and the number of bobbles represent the number of species found on the survey.
