Wool and Water Workshop

  • Paul Smith's VIC 8023 New York 30 Paul Smiths, NY, 12970 United States (map)

Hosted by Paul Smith’s VIC.

Are you a knitter or crocheter looking for an interesting winter project? Are you a teacher with an art club or a knitting club?

Join us for a free workshop at the VIC to learn about Wool and Water, a project of the Adirondack Watershed Institute. The purpose of this collaborative data art project is to celebrate this year’s 50th anniversary of the Clean Water Act by using fiber art to represent the issues that affect our waterways.

This project is participatory, we'd love to have you! And we'd love to get students involved. We will spend some time looking at the Wool and Water exhibit in the Heron Marsh Gallery and then we'll demonstrate some online resources and explain how you can get involved. Bring your knitting and crochet! We'd love to spend some time crafting together after the workshop.
