Mirror Lake Watershed Action Plan
Mirror Lake is a 125-acre lake in the Town of North Elba in Essex. The lake is a popular destination for paddling, swimming, and walking. In 2023, Mirror Lake was selected to develop a watershed action plan through a grant supported by the Lake Champlain Basin Program and NEIWPCC. The lake has high chloride concentrations due to road salt and has had harmful algal blooms documented in 2020 and 2022.
What is a watershed action plan?
A watershed action plan is a concise, action-oriented plan for the protection or improvement of the water quality of a lake or stream.
How can I get involved?
