Opening Reception for Wool and Water

  • Saranac Lake Free Library 109 Main Street Saranac Lake, NY United States (map)

The nights are getting chilly and wool season is upon us, what better time to join us to learn about Wool and Water!

Join Michale Glennon, AWI’s Science Director, at the Saranac Lake Free Library. Michale will be giving an overview of Wool and Water, a collaborative data art project that blends fiber art with scientific data to create visual representations of changing water quality conditions in the Adirondacks and Lake Champlain Basin. The Wool and Water collection will be on display during the month of November. In association with the 50th anniversary of the Clean Water Act, the Paul Smith’s College Adirondack Watershed Institute has embarked on a collaborative fiber arts project supported by the Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership and the Lake Champlain Basin Program to showcase the legacy of protecting clean water in the Lake Champlain Basin and beyond.
