In anticipation of her second trip to Antarctica, AWI Research associate Lija Treibergs will share her experiences conducting scientific research in the polar regions. In this talk, Lija will discuss the breadth of research conducted in the polar regions, why polar research is important and relevant to the Adirondacks and beyond, and some of the logistical challenges that face scientists conducting research in some of the most remote places on the planet.
This presentation will be held in person in the Adirondack Room in the Joan Weill Adirondack Library at Paul Smith’s College as well as broadcast on Zoom.
